Location: Central London (office-based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Salary: £30,000

Role Overview

Our client is recruiting an Accounts Assistant to work closely with and report to the Accounts Payable Manager. This is a full-time, office-based role supporting the Accounts team. The successful candidate will be a good self-starter who, following training, will be able to work independently as well as being part of the team. Some experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

* Entering, costing, and paying supplier bills.

* Managing the database of suppliers and subcontractors.

* Processing orders and raising payments to subcontractors, ensuring CIS deductions and VAT are processed correctly.

* Preparing payment runs.

* Carrying out ad-hoc compliance exercises.

* Supporting the Accounts team with any other matters that arise.

Candidate Profile

* Some experience in a similar accounts or finance support role would be advantageous.

* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

* Ability to work independently following training and as part of a team.
