Accounts manager

My client is an Age Top 50+50 firm of Accountants based in the South West, with over 300 team members across 16 offices.
They are looking for an Accounts Manager to join their office in Bridgwater.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to;
• Client management for own portfolio of clients • Preparing financial statements for partnerships and sole traders • Preparation of accounts for limited companies • Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns • Bespoke accountancy, taxation, and tax planning advice • Completing personal self-assessment tax returns • Use of computer software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, VT and Tax Calc • Preparing and submitting VAT returns • Dealing with any client queries in a timely and efficient manner • Supporting directors, team members and mentoring junior team members • working to meet client and professional development targets
The ideal candidate:
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience) with post qualified experience in a practice environment • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced workplace • Competent in Microsoft office word and excel • Excellent organisational skills with methodical systematic approach to work • Highly motivated, ambitious and conscientious • Ability to work to deadlines, attention to detail and manage ...
