Accounts Payable Assistant North Nottingham Office Based £27,000 - £29,000 Monday to Thursday - 8:00am – 5:00pm Friday - 8am - 1pm

Eaton Syalon are working with a business in North Nottingham, to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant. This role is ideal for candidates who are looking for an office-based role, working in a supportive accounts environment and those who are looking for a "hands on" accounts payable position.

The Role As the Accounts Payable Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function and will provide reliable, accurate and timely information to the Senior Clerk and Financial Controller. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing a high volume of supplier invoices, dealing with supplier queries and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

* To monitor and process three-way matching of incoming purchase invoices

* Manage the accounts payable inbox

* Maintain the invoice query log

* Work with other departments to liaise with suppliers to minimise supplier and invoice queries

* Pay suppliers within agreed credit terms

* Completion of supplier statement reconciliations

* Assist in preparing documentation and schedules required for internal and external audits

* Continuous improvement and process improvement

About You

* Previous experience in a purchase ledger, dealing with high volume invoice processing and data

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy

* The ability to prioritise workload

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel

* A proactive and team-focused attitude
