The Accounts Payable Specialist will support the AP Lead and wider finance function in ensuring seamless coordination between departments and timely, accurate financial outcomes. This role is key to maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing critical vendor accounts, and driving process accuracy and efficiency across both the UK and offshore AP teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable Operations & ControlEnsure timely processing and close monitoring of sensitive and high-priority suppliers, including Utilities, Health & Safety, HR, Payroll, Rates, Rent, and other key vendorsMaintain accurate supplier records and proactively resolve issues that could impact service continuity or supplier relationshipsActively manage the AP ageing report, clearing overdue invoices and completing supplier statement reconciliationsEnsure no supplier accounts are placed on stop and resolve discrepancies swiftlyCIS & ComplianceOwn and manage the full CIS process for Otis, including daily CIS splits and accountingPrepare and submit monthly CIS returns to HMRC, ensuring full compliance and timely settlement of liabilitiesSupport adherence to local tax and compliance requirementsStakeholder & Shared Services CollaborationAct as a key contact for the India Accounts Payable team, providing guidance and process expertise to reduce queriesBuild strong working relationships with internal departments, buyers, and external suppliersWork closely with buyers to chase outstanding Goods Receipts (GRs) and ensure timely invoice matching and paymentReconciliations & ReportingOversee direct debit suppliers and participate in weekly or bi-weekly review meetings with the Senior AP Specialist and AP LeadConduct regular reconciliations and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial recordsSupport & CoverProvide cover during the absence of the Senior AP Specialist as requiredSupport activities such as PO printing, payment approvals, pre-payments, and month-end paid invoice processesManage incoming post and provide general administrative and ad-hoc support to the wider finance teamDemonstrate flexibility in supporting additional duties as business needs arise.What You'll Need to SucceedEssential:Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or finance roleStrong understanding of AP processes and account reconciliationExperience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skillsExcellent communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholdersHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilityPreferred:CIS experienceExperience working with shared service or offshore finance teamsKnowledge of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processesCertification in Accounts Payable or related fieldWhat We OfferCompetitive salary aligned with market standardsSupportive team environment with clear reporting lines to the AP LeadOpportunities to develop expertise within a large, internationally recognised organisationA role with real ownership and visibility across the UK finance functionApply today to join us and build what's next!If you live in a city, chances are we will give you a lift or play a role in keeping you moving every day.Otis is the world's leading elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation, and service company.
