Accounts Preparation Manager

A leading UK national accountancy firm is seeking a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) to join its Accounts Preparation team at Manager level. The firm operates a hybrid working model (3 days office / 2 days home) and works with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
This role focuses on the preparation and review of statutory accounts for both audit and audit-exempt clients, including single entities and group consolidations. The successful candidate will manage client relationships end-to-end, deliver high-quality technical work, and play a key role in developing and supervising junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as the main point of contact Preparation and review of statutory accounts Providing practical accounting and technical advice Reviewing compliance work to ensure quality and timeliness Training, supervising, and appraising junior team members Supporting the development of accounts preparation processes and procedures
Requirements
ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a background in practice Strong statutory accounts preparation experience Sound knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102, including consolidations Experience managing client portfolios
