Accounts Receivable Senior

A rapidly scaling financial services and payments business is looking for an Accounts Receivable Senior to join its growing Finance function. The company has undergone significant transformation in recent years, launching new platforms, expanding its product offering, and investing heavily in automation, governance and team development, making this a brilliant time to join. You’ll work within a supportive, friendly team with long‑standing leadership, real progression, varied projects, and exposure across the finance function. This role is ideal for someone with solid AR experience who wants a genuine step up in responsibility and complexity. Key Responsibilities
Raise and issue high‑volume invoices accurately, working primarily in Excel. Monitor incoming payments and allocate cash correctly across customer accounts. Reconcile the AR ledger, resolving discrepancies quickly and proactively. Partner with Sales Executives and clients to resolve billing queries professionally. Prepare AR ageing reports and outline clear follow‑up actions. Support account closures, pricing updates, and continuous process improvement.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years’ experience in AR, credit control or similar, with strong double‑entry understanding - essential Confident Excel user (SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, multi‑IF formulas) and comfortable with large data volumes - essential Studying towards a qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) is essential. Strong communicator who can work with internal teams and senior stakeholders. Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and able to juggle deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. A collaborative, positive team player. Friendly, reliable and proactive.
