With a team boasting over 40 years of combined experience, including international projects, they work closely with architects, planners, and engineers to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary solutions.
Responsibilities
As an Acoustic Consultant, you will:
* Conduct noise and vibration surveys across a variety of environments and sectors. * Develop and implement acoustic models to assess and predict noise impacts. * Prepare high-quality technical reports and provide expert advice to clients. * Collaborate with architects, planners, and engineers to integrate acoustic solutions into project designs. * Support planning applications by delivering robust noise and vibration assessments. * Contribute to the development of innovative solutions that balance acoustic performance with other project requirements. * Represent the company as a trusted advisor, including acting as an expert witness when required.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is:
* A member of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) or working towards membership. * Experienced in noise and vibration consultancy, with a proven track record in surveys, modelling, and reporting. * Proficient in using industry-standard acoustic modelling software. * Skilled in interpreting and applying relevant standards, guidelines, and legislation. * An excellent communicator, capable of translating technical findings into clear, actionable advice. * A team player with a collaborative mindset, but also able to work independently. * Passionate about delivering client-focused solutions that make a real impact.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day might include:
* Heading out to conduct on-site noise and vibration surveys. * Developing detailed acoustic models to assess project impacts. * Collaborating with architects and engineers to integrate acoustic considerations into designs. * Writing comprehensive technical reports to support planning applications. * Attending client meetings to present findings and discuss solutions. * Staying up-to-date with the latest industry standards and best practices. * Contributing to a supportive, mission-driven team environment.
