Salary: 60k - £75k Basic Salary based on experience About the Role We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and inspirational Performance Director to join our boutique wealth management firm. This senior leadership role is pivotal in shaping the growth, performance, and long‑term success of our adviser team. You will lead from the front—recruiting top talent, driving performance, developing business opportunities, and helping to define the strategic direction of the firm. This role requires proven experience managing, developing, or recruiting financial advisers within a regulated financial planning or wealth management environment. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Onboarding
Identify, attract and recruit high‑calibre financial advisers. Design and implement a structured onboarding process to ensure seamless integration and strong early‑stage performance.
Performance Management
Set clear performance expectations and KPIs for advisers. Monitor, review, and coach to performance, providing constructive feedback and development support.
Leadership & Coaching
Act as a mentor and leader, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Lead by example, modelling best practice and encouraging continuous professional development.
Business Development & Growth
Define and implement the business development strategy for the adviser team. Support advisers with their own business development activity through guidance, training, and resource provision. Develop and initiate new business opportunities and strategic initiatives. Play an active role in shaping the firm’s strategy and future direction. Represent the business at key events, within professional networks, and across the wider industry. Strong decision making and sound judgement by using relevant information to make balanced decisions whilst taking ownership of the outcomes, reflecting on results to inform future decisions and actions.
Skills & Attributes
Proven track record in sales leadership within financial services or wealth management. Strong ability to influence, motivate, and inspire performance. High energy, resilience, and a results‑driven mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with hands‑on capability to execute.
Qualifications & Experience
Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (preferred but not essential). Extensive experience in sales leadership within financial services or wealth management. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
