The Agricultural Commercial Relationship Manager builds, fosters, and maintains strong relationships with business clients. This position manages a portfolio of agricultural commercial banking clients, providing tailored financial solutions, while ensuring exceptional banking experience. The role works closely with clients to understand their financial needs, offers appropriate products and services, and acts as a trusted advisor. This position will cover the Counties of Loudon, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Orange, Greene, Albemarle, Madison, and Culpeper.
Essential Duties:
Business Development and Customer Experience
Builds and maintains strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their financial needs and goals.
Provides personalized financial solutions, including loans, credit, and other banking products.
Makes independent decisions and recommendations, after evaluating the financial status, credit, and property evaluation, regarding the appropriate loan products whether to approve loan on behalf of the Bank.
Addresses client inquiries and resolves issues promptly ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Conducts regular client reviews to ensure their financial needs are being met and to identify opportunities for additional services.
Leads client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating complex financial concepts.
Executes initiatives that positively impact loyalty, customer retention, and the building of lifelong relationships.
Collaborates with internal teams, including credit, risk, and operations, to deliver seamless banking services to clients.
Works closely with branch managers and other relationship managers to identify and refer business opportunities.
Risk Management
Conducts thorough due diligence and risk assessments for all commercial clients, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Monitors client accounts for signs of financial distress or unusual activity, taking appropriate action as needed.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
Collaborates with the risk management team to develop and implement strategies to minimize risk exposure while maximizing business opportunities.
Teamwork and Leadership
Participates in team meetings and contributes to the development of strategies to improve client services and business growth.
Shares knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance the overall effectiveness of the team.
Supports and mentors team members and provides guidance and assistance as needed to create a cohesive environment to accomplish team goals.
Represents the bank in the community, participating in networking events and community initiatives to enhance the bank's reputation and attract new business.

Concentrate for extended periods of time with attention to detail.
Prioritize and meet deadlines.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting or related field and a minimum of three years’ related experience . An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Intermediate experience, knowledge, and training in branch operation activities, bank terminology and compliance regulations, and products and services relating to retail and commercial account customers .
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Current driver’s license.

Position Type/Hours:
This is a full-time, exempt level position working Monday – Friday with other days and hours as necessary to accomplish duties.
Travel:
This position will involve routine travel, including but not limited to, calling on current and prospective clients, representing the bank at networking and community events, and participating in training and personal development sessions.
