AI Llama Engineering Research Assistant (Python / Generative AI)

AI research team of our global well-trusted Tech client is seeking a Research Assistant with hands-on experience in prototyping and testing AI agents and LLM models. You’ll join a collaborative team working on state-of-the-art AI systems, contributing directly to prompt engineering, model evaluation, and system improvement.

• Start Date: ASAP after two interviews, including 1 coding about System Design
• Contract with extensions

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and refine prompts to guide AI agents toward optimal behavior.
• Debug AI agent tool calls in a Python/PHP software stack.
• Build high-quality prompts to create internal benchmarks (similar to MLEBench and BFCL).
• Evaluate and improve existing AI agents by identifying performance gaps.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and tech leads to analyse results and drive next steps.

What You’ll Bring:

• 2+ years in AI/ML research, prototyping, or LLM development.
• Strong Python programming skills (intermediate+), able to navigate complex libraries and write efficient solutions.
• Experience with AI agent frameworks such as Model Context Protocol and LangChain.
• Familiarity with large-scale software architectures.
• Exposure to generative AI and open-source AI libraries.

Nice to Have:

• SQL and basic data analysis skills.
