Air Conditioning Engineer – Bromsgrove
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Air Conditioning Engineer to join a busy HVAC service team. This is a hands-on role focused on the service, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting of a wide range of air conditioning and mechanical systems across multiple sites nationally.
Key Responsibilities for Air Conditioning Engineer
* Service, maintain, and troubleshoot GHP units, AHU systems, split, VRV, and VRF systems.
* Service and maintain boiler systems.
* Identify and diagnose system faults accurately to achieve first-time fix and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Provide proactive advice on potential future system issues, both verbally and in written reports.
* Complete F-Gas and Gas Safe reports in compliance with current regulations.
* Learn to fully commission all aspects of HVAC systems, including control panels, AHUs, fans, and other mechanical plant.
* Respond to breakdown call-outs on critical HVAC systems.
* Travel to various sites nationally to perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and other service tasks.
* Train clients and end users in the operation and safe use of HVAC systems.
* Complete site service reports, point-of-work risk assessments, and other required documentation.
* Troubleshoot during commissioning and on-site visits to diagnose faults and develop practical solutions.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the specialist HVAC team.
Skills & Experience Required for Air Conditioning Engineer
* Previous experience in air conditioning, HVAC, and mechanical services.
* Competent in servicing GHP units, AHUs, split, VRV, and VRF systems, as well as boilers.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose faults, with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Familiarity with F-Gas and Gas Safe compliance.
* Experience commissioning HVAC systems and setting up control panels and mechanical plant.
* Strong communication skills to train clients and provide clear reports.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
* Willingness to travel nationally for PPM and service visits.
Desirable Qualifications
* Relevant industry qualifications in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical engineering.
* Electrical knowledge relevant to HVAC systems.
* Experience with preventative maintenance programs and multi-site operations

Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000 /annum van and overtime
