Project Engineer – Install & Site Lead
£40,000 – £60,000 + Vehicle + Progression
UK Travel Required | Full Time | Permanent

We are recruiting for a growing HVAC and Renewables contractor delivering commercial and domestic projects across the UK.

This role suits a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer, Heat Pump Engineer or HVAC Engineer who wants more responsibility and the opportunity to move into Project Engineering / Project Management.

The Role

You will combine hands-on installation with site leadership and project coordination.

Projects typically range from £50k – £150k and include:

* Commercial HVAC installations

* Air Conditioning (Splits, Multi-Splits, VRV / VRF)

* Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)

* Boiler to heat pump upgrades

* Decarbonisation projects

* Plant room upgrades

You’ll be managing subcontractors, overseeing installation quality, liaising with clients and ensuring projects are delivered safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

* Install Air Conditioning systems (VRF / VRV / Splits)

* Install Air Source Heat Pumps

* Supervise engineers and subcontractors on site

* Manage day-to-day project delivery

* Ensure F-Gas compliance and health & safety standards

* Support commissioning and handover

Experience Required

We are open to candidates from either:

✔ Strong Air Conditioning background
OR
✔ Strong Heat Pump / Renewable Heating background

Essential:

* F-Gas Certification

* Proven HVAC installation experience

* Commercial project experience

* Ability to run jobs independently

Desirable:

* NVQ Level 2/3 in AC, Refrigeration or Plumbing & Heating

* Experience with Mitsubishi, Samsung, Daikin systems

* Experience leading small teams
