Overview
Expleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider with UK presence in 10 locations. We are seeking an AIT Engineering Planner to be responsible for supporting the planning, scheduling, and resource management of work across teams, functional areas, and projects. This role combines technical administration, resource planning, and project coordination to ensure efficient delivery of project milestones and objectives.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to optimise resource allocation, monitor project progress, and maintain accurate technical documentation. The role demands 5 days a week on the client's site in Guildford working on exciting space projects.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed work package schedules, resource plans, and timelines using planning tools such as MS Project or SAP.
Ensure work package plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with team and project objectives, adjusting as priorities evolve.
Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and interdependencies, escalating risks where appropriate.
Collaborate with Functional Managers, Work Package Managers (WPMs), and Project Managers to allocate resources effectively across multiple projects and functional areas.
Maintain a holistic view of resource availability, utilisation, and workload, providing regular updates to resource managers (Minimum monthly).
Support forecasting of resource requirements for bids, future programmes, and long‑term capacity planning.
Track progress against schedules, budgets, and resource baselines, analysing variances and recommending corrective actions.
Prepare and present reports on project progress, KPIs, milestones, and team performance for all stakeholders.
Support Project Controllers and WPMs with EAC, ETC, and other financial metrics to maintain accurate Work Package performance data.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams engineering and production teams to ensure alignment between planning, execution, and project objectives.
Act as a central point of contact for resource requests and conflicts, proposing solutions that maintain delivery commitments.
Facilitate clear communication between technical teams, Functional Managers, and external stakeholders ensuring shared understanding of priorities and timelines.
Identify and implement improvements to planning, resource management, and document control processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and project management best practice accress all planning activities
Provide training, coaching or guidance on planning tools and systems to support capability development within the team.
Qualifications
Degree in an appropriate subject
Where applicable suitable experience in addition to a lower qualification would be acceptable
Essential skills
Proficiency in project management and planning tools such as MS Project, SAP, Primavera, or equivalent software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project data and identify trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
High attention to detail with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic operation.
Experience
Proven experience in a planning, scheduling, or technical administration role.
Experience managing full lifecycle projects in the space industry or adjacent industries with similar regulation such as aerospace, rail, nuclear or medical.
