Analytical chemist

This is a permanent opportunity paying a competitive salary. I am currently recruiting for a scientist for a pharmaceutical testing laboratory based in Livingston.

Job responsibilities:

• Pharmaceutical chemistry analysis using analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, and wet chemistry techniques • Method development, validation and method transfer • Review technical data • Communicate with external clients to provide updates • Assist in quality assurance and resolving any quality issues. • Lead root cause analysis and quality risk assessments. • Manage change controls and CAPA • Assist in equipment calibration and maintenance • Writing and review of procedures, protocols, and reports. • Work according to GMP and cGMP guidelines Qualifications: Essential: Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical GMP/CGMP-regulated chemistry laboratory Experience in using Pharmacopeia Experience in analysing pharmaceutical products in a GMP environment Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in managing quality assurance tasks such as change control, investigations, and raising CAPA
