About the Role

Here at VMO2, we are currently seeking an experienced, capable, and motivated Anaplan Solution Architect to join the Data Planning Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building Anaplan models for our Finance partners as part of our mission to transform Virgin Media O2’s planning and forecasting processes through driver-based forecasting models in Anaplan, within the Data Democratisation Transformation programme.

These models aim to enhance forecast accuracy, promote cross-functional collaboration, and drive business alignment, consistency, and efficiency. They will provide team members with insightful projections of future outcomes and a clearer understanding of the key business KPIs across the company's P&L. Empowering stakeholders with self-service analytics, these models enable data-driven decision-making to improve business value and accelerate growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build Anaplan models for various Finance use cases to support data-driven decision-making and future business growth.
• Lead and manage Anaplan Model Builders within the Finance squad.
• Define data requirements for Anaplan models and coordinate with data teams on new data creation needs.
• Establish strategic partnerships with Finance stakeholders to understand priorities and develop relevant use cases.
• Share best practices, exchange knowledge, and foster a collaborative environment across Anaplan squads.
• Contribute to the development of a driver-based approach with consistent cohort dimensions across models.
• Build a strong partnership with Anaplan to maximize stakeholder value.

Must Haves

• Proven success in driving digital transformation in a cross-functional environment.
• 3-5 years of experience in data modelling, particularly building driver-based planning and forecasting models in Anaplan that deliver stakeholder value.
• Experience designing Anaplan model architecture for new and existing models.
• Proven ability to present analysis and design options to senior stakeholders to guide business decisions.

Additional Preferences

We would also appreciate candidates who:

• Can lead and motivate cross-functional squads to develop solutions that unlock business value.
• Have experience building Anaplan models for Finance teams like FP&A.
• Promote and maximize agile ways of working.
• Hold Anaplan Model Builder L1-3 and Solution Architect qualifications.
• Have basic knowledge of tools like Tableau, GCP, and DBT.
