Android Developer

Salary: Up to £70,000 + 20% Bonus + 20% Pension

Location: Central London – 1 day per week onsite

Contract: 12-month FTC (likely to extend or convert to permanent)

Join a prestigious financial services organisation renowned for its commitment to excellence and customer-centric innovation. As a leader in the industry, they are expanding their development team to enhance digital capabilities and deliver exceptional services to their clients.

As an Android Developer, you’ll join a collaborative, cross-functional Agile Scrum team. You will be one of three Android developers contributing to new feature development, enhancements, and day-to-day maintenance of their Android applications. You will also play a key role in the redesign and rebuild of the Android app using Compose.

This role would particularly suit someone earlier in their career who is looking for strong mentorship, structured development opportunities, and increased ownership of their work.

Experience Required:

• Strong experience in Android app development
• Experience working within an Agile Scrum methodology in a cross-functional team (Product Owners, Delivery Managers, UI/UX, QA, etc.)
• Proficiency in Kotlin
• Experience with XML or Jetpack Compose
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach

Desirable

• Experience working on banking or financial services applications
• Understanding of native mobile app development principles
