Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Cambridge Area for an Application Scientist. In this role, you will work closely with an existing team to contribute to research and development activities, perform experiments in the laboratory, and analyze data for innovative scientific instrumentation projects. You will engage in supporting internal technical advancements and collaborate with clients to provide technical expertise, training, and assistance with Durham Magneto Optics' products.
Qualifications
Laboratory Skills and proficiency in conducting scientific experiments Strong background in Research and Development (R&D) and research methodologies Expertise in Materials Science, with knowledge of magneto-optics or nanotechnology being an advantage Experience in Data Analysis and interpretation of complex experimental results Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical documentation and client interactions Prior experience with scientific instrumentation is a plus Willingness to travel for client support and collaborative projects
