Job Description:
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications within the Maintenance and Support Systems Competency Centre (M&SSCC). This includes triaging and prioritising incidents and service requests to meet SLAs, while proactively monitoring application performance and availability to prevent disruption.
You’ll work closely with development teams, third-party suppliers, and end users to ensure swift resolution of issues, drive service improvements, and maintain high levels of system reliability and user satisfaction.
Core duties:
- Rapidly investigate, diagnose, and resolve application incidents within agreed SLAs, taking ownership through to resolution and engaging development teams and third-party vendors where necessary to minimise business impact
- Proactively monitor application health, performance, and availability, leveraging strong technical understanding of underlying operating systems and integrations. Deliver regular patching, upgrades, and preventative maintenance to ensure stability and security
- Provide high-quality second-line support to end users, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues. Build and maintain a robust knowledge base to support long-term service continuity and operational resilience
- Deliver reliable second-line support across a portfolio of Air Maintenance & Support Systems applications, ensuring consistent service performance and alignment with operational requirements
- Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for optimisation, driving service improvements, process enhancements, and increased efficiency across the application support function
Essential Skills:
- Considerable technical and analytical capability with hands-on experience across Red Hat Linux environments and Oracle-based systems, supporting troubleshooting, performance analysis, and system stability in complex enterprise landscapes.
- Familiar with modern integration technologies including MuleSoft, APIs, SSIS, and microservices architectures, with an understanding of how distributed systems interact and exchange data across enterprise platforms.
- Structured and methodical problem-solving approach, applying logical analysis and root cause investigation techniques to diagnose issues efficiently and deliver sustainable resolutions in high-pressure environments.
M&SSCC (Maintenance and Support Services Coordination Centre) team
The M&SSCC (Maintenance and Support Services Coordination Centre) team is responsible for delivering comprehensive maintenance and support services for aircraft operations worldwide. Additionally, the team ensures seamless coverage over various systems, driving growth and integrating technologies tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer. As subject matter experts (SMEs), the team addresses inquiries, troubleshoots issues, and provides valuable insights to enhance software functionality and performance. Ultimately, the M&SSCC team plays a crucial role in shaping the future of aircraft maintenance and support services on a global scale.
