What You’ll Do at Work

Where You’ll Work
 

You will primarily cover the Northeast region. However, you may be required to travel to Cumbria and within the Northwest region, depending on job requirements

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your Training Plan

Enrol in a Level 3 Fire Emergency and Security Systems Technician qualification delivered by Banham Academy alongside fellow Johnson Controls apprentices

Engage in block release basis training and receive on-the-job guidance from experienced mentors and engineers

This exciting opportunity is field-based, meaning you will collaborate with our skilled engineers while traveling to our customers' sites daily. The role may require heavy lifting and working at heights.

After This Apprenticeship

Upon completing this apprenticeship, numerous internal opportunities within the company will be available to you. Many of our previous apprentices have advanced to lead engineers, managing their own teams and projects.

What’s Next?  
 

Suitable candidates will be contacted via email to provide their evidence of required certifications. Once we receive the evidence of certification you will have a screening call with a recruiter to discuss the position. Afterward, you will be invited to an assessment centre, where you will participate in a practical assessment, meet the team, and have an interview. 

Candidates will receive a response regarding the outcome of their application. If successful, they can expect to begin the apprenticeship with Johnson Controls in September 2025.
