Apprentice Health and Safety Advisor Level 3
New Today
Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.
Where will you be working?
At M Group Water, we work in partnership with Thames Water to deliver one of the largest and most ambitious infrastructure investment programmes in the UK. Thames Water’s AMP8 period represents the biggest upgrade to their water and wastewater networks in 150 years, with customers funding £20.5 billion to maintain, improve and future‑proof essential assets.
This includes replacing around 550 km of water mains, enhancing resilience to climate change, reducing pollution incidents, and delivering major environmental improvements across rivers and catchments.
We bring over 140 years of combined engineering and infrastructure experience, supporting Thames Water in strengthening asset performance, improving water quality, and protecting the environment for future generations.
This role sits within our Thames Water Capital Delivery teams, who are responsible for delivering major water and wastewater projects within the AMP8 programme. During AMP8, Thames Water’s capital programme is expected to be up to three times larger than previous cycles, requiring significant expansion across engineering, environmental, and programme management disciplines.
You will be supporting the safe delivery of high‑priority infrastructure upgrades including:
- Water treatment and sewage treatment works improvements
- Network resilience schemes
- Sewer relining and pollution‑reduction programmes
- Major pipelines and growth‑driven capacity enhancements
These investments form part of Thames Water’s strategic plan to improve service reliability, reduce environmental impact, and build resilience against climate change and population growth.
