Job Title: Electro Mechanical Fitter* *Business Area: Rotating Machines* *Quartzelec is an independent, multi-disciplined service provider that employs over 600 people in the UK and overseas with a turnover in excess of £80 million. We support the industrial, infrastructure, commercial and service sectors with a unique range of contracting and rotating machine services as well as developing and providing support products offered through the Quartzelec group of companies. *Due to an increase in workload, we are now seeking a Electro Mechanical Fitter to work in our rotating machinery business based in Aberdeen. Being able to inspect and disassemble rotating machines both LV & HV * Carrying out inspections, overhauls and repairs of various motors that have been used in explosive atmospheres * Accurately assess and observe damage and wear on AC/DC electric motors and other machines * Quality control and technical compliance in accordance with project requirements * Hold a qualification in Electrical Engineering either C&G or NVQ equivalent * Previous experience within a Electro Mechanical environment * Experience of rotating equipment as well as route cause analyses and measuring * Be able to travel for short durations as and when required for specific site work and offshore scopes * Previous or current AEMT training course preferred but not essential * Current offshore licence preferable but not essential *A unique experience working for a business that values autonomy by gifting employee’s with responsibility and ownership in their field of speciality.
