Role overview:
The Apprentice/Graduate Project Manager supports the Design Project Manager in coordinating and managing a capital infrastructure project. The role involves assisting with planning, risk management, quality control, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, contractors, and team members.
The position requires a proactive approach, adaptability, and a solid understanding of project management principles, with a focus on delivering work efficiently while developing key skills.
Based primarily in Glasgow, the role includes occasional site visits. It is an entry-level position suited to apprentices or recent graduates.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating interfaces between client disciplines (engineering, safety, HSQE, programme controls)
Organising stakeholder meetings, workshops, site access, and surveys
Managing Technical Queries and Early Warnings to ensure timely responses
Maintaining action trackers and ensuring follow-ups
Supporting progress tracking against time and cost baselines
Requirements:
Essential -
IT literate, with ability to confidently use standard MS Office suite.
Flexibility and adaptability to fast changing needs.
Effective communicator and confident with stakeholder discussion in various appropriate forums.
Desirable -
Experience of infrastructure design
Awareness of NEC4 contracts
Knowledge of CEMAR or similar tool.
