The Role
We are working on behalf of a well-established education provider to recruit an Apprenticeship Skills Tutor – Plastering. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training, assessment, and support to apprentices, ensuring they develop the practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to successfully complete their apprenticeship and progress within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective apprenticeship training in Plastering, both on-site and in the workplace
* Assess apprentice competence against apprenticeship standards and awarding body requirements
* Carry out regular workplace visits to monitor progress, provide feedback, and support employer engagement
* Plan, prepare, and deliver teaching sessions aligned with apprenticeship frameworks and end-point assessment requirements
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records, assessments, and progress reviews
* Support apprentices with functional skills, off-the-job training requirements, and personal development
* Work closely with employers to ensure training meets industry needs and compliance standards
* Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
* Occupational competence in Plastering with relevant industry experience
* A recognised teaching Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
* Assessing qualification TAQA / A1 / D32–D33
* Experience delivering or assessing apprenticeships within a construction setting (desirable)
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
