Approved Electrician – Water Utilities\nLocation: Thames Water & Southern Water regions (regular travel required)\nFull Time | Permanent\nCompetitive Salary + Paid door to door+ Call-Out rota\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Approved Electrician to join a well-established Electrical & Mechanical Engineering contractor operating within the UK Water Utilities sector.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with strong industrial electrical installation and testing experience who is looking for long-term, secure work across water treatment and infrastructure projects throughout the Thames Water and Southern Water areas.\nThe Role\nAs an Approved Electrician, you will provide advanced electrical expertise across installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning of low voltage electrical systems and control panels. Working across multiple projects, you will support delivery teams while ensuring compliance with current BS7671 regulations and industry standards.\nYou will report into a Project Manager but may take ownership of smaller value projects depending on experience.\nKey Responsibilities\n * Electrical installation works to BS7671 (18th Edition)\n * Installation, service and repair of low voltage control systems\n * Installation and commissioning of instrumentation systems (pressure, level, temperature and flow)\n * Reading and interpreting electrical schematic drawings\n * Fault finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting\n * Carrying out Inspection & Testing (2391) including initial verification and periodic testing\n * Ensuring compliance with NICEIC / ECA standards\n * Providing clear technical documentation and reports\n * Supporting site teams and liaising with clients and contractors\n * Participating in a call-out rota covering reactive breakdowns\nEssential Requirements\n * Completed electrical apprenticeship\n * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation\n * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations\n * City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing\n * ECS Gold Card\n * Strong knowledge of industrial / commercial electrical systems\n * Full UK driving licence\n * Right to work in the UK\nDesirable Experience\n * Water industry / utilities experience\n * Control panels and instrumentation\n * IPAF / PASMA\n * SSSTS\n * CompEx\nWhy Apply?\n * Secure, long-term work within the growing Water Utilities sector\n * Opportunity to work on complex industrial electrical projects\n * Varied role including installation, testing and commissioning\n * Supportive engineering environment with career progression opportunities\n * Paid door to door travel\nIf you are a qualified Approved Electrician with strong industrial or water sector experience and are happy to travel across the Thames and Southern regions, we would like to hear from you.\nFull Circle Technical is acting as an employment business and agency.
