We are currently seeking a Security Architect to join a cyber security specialist organisation delivering services across government, defence, and critical national infrastructure environments in the UK.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering secure architectures across infrastructure, cloud, application, and data domains. You will work on complex environments where security must be embedded from the earliest design stages, ensuring systems are resilient, scalable, and capable of withstanding real-world threats.

You will regularly engage with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate complex security risks into clear architectural decisions. A key aspect of the role is the ability to challenge existing designs, conduct architecture assurance, threat modelling, and risk analysis, and provide clear, practical security guidance that can be implemented by engineering teams.

The position involves working in highly regulated and often constrained environments, where precision, depth of analysis, and sound judgement are essential.

Profile Required

We are looking for a professional with at least 5 years of experience in Cyber Security, including strong exposure to Security Architecture or senior security engineering roles.

You will have a solid understanding of security architecture principles across cloud, infrastructure, and application environments, as well as hands-on knowledge of attack vectors, exploits, and mitigation strategies.

Experience in consulting or client-facing delivery environments is highly desirable, particularly where complex security challenges must be addressed in structured and pragmatic ways.

You will demonstrate strong analytical thinking, a methodical approach to problem solving, and the ability to consistently challenge assumptions by asking the right questions (“why” driven mindset).

Strong experience in threat modelling, risk assessment, and security architecture assurance is expected, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
