We are looking for high‑potential, flexible, innovative, and forward‑thinking professionals to join our India Operations team. Join the External Fulfillment Operations team as an Area Manager. Responsibilities
Direct people management, driving operational performance in a highly metric‑driven environment. Lead process‑improvement projects to enhance key shop‑floor metrics (Quality, Cost, Delivery). Develop team members. Flexibility to work weekends, overnight shifts, and travel to seller nodes. Manage performance and behavior of up to 06 Amazon Associates through 1:1 meetings, coaching, and mentorship. Manage schedules, monitor attendance and adherence of the team. Set up robust forecasting processes to minimize cost and maximize customer experience. Implement performance goals, evaluate them against pre‑set targets, and implement action plans to resolve barriers. Set the vision of the team by managing individual and team expectations and goals. Drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, projects, and Kaizen initiatives. Analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Support product initiatives to reduce contacts through automation. Support hiring of the right associates. Solve complex seller issues and proactively connect with stakeholders to reduce dependencies.
Key Job Responsibilities
2+ years of employee and performance‑management experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience. Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
A Day in the Life
Manage the performance and behavior of up to 06 OE’s as directs. Audit seller visits with Operation Executives to ensure 100% compliance. Set up robust forecasting processes to minimize cost and maximize customer experience. Implement and evaluate performance goals, creating action plans to resolve barriers as needed. Analyze performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities. Support product initiatives that reduce contacts by emphasizing automation. Solve complex seller issues and proactively connect with stakeholders to reduce dependencies.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of employee and performance‑management experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience. Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of performance‑metrics, process‑improvement or lean techniques experience.
