Material Handling Sales Manager – UK South

Location: UK South (Home-based, with frequent travel across the region)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Your Mission

You will own the UK South region’s strategy and performance, serving as the trusted face of our brand across critical sectors—from manufacturing, packaging, food and beverage, to OEMs and beyond. Your drive will translate regional insights into profitable growth, aligning activity with regional needs and global ambition.

What You'll Do

Strategic Business Generation

Architect and lead the region’s business development plan focused on new opportunities and market expansion.

Territory Leadership & Customer Ownership

Take complete ownership of the customer experience—from first call through to solution delivery—ensuring professionalism, responsiveness, and long‑term trust.

Territory Planning & Execution

Systematically plan and deliver efficient, high‑quality customer visits and presentations. Provide compelling solution demos, handle negotiations, and effectively manage any on‑site issues or complaints.

Market Intelligence & Advocacy

Deliver continuous, insightful feedback on market trends, competitor moves, and customer needs—shaping strategy and product development.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain timely, polished documentation of activities, results, and strategic plans—ensuring full alignment with both short‑term targets and long‑term goals.

Embedding Training & Collaboration

Help elevate regional capabilities by contributing to or delivering training programs (especially if technical components are involved), and work closely with sales, service, and customer‑care teams.

Your Success Metrics

Achieve agreed monthly and annual sales targets across the UK South region.

Deliver at least 40% of activity on new business development.

Maintain strong margin performance aligned with company goals.

Ensure compliance with CRM usage, business tools, and action plans.

What You Bring

An engineering or technical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent real-world engineering or commercial experience.

Proven track record in technical sales within materials handling, manufacturing, packaging, food, or related sectors.

Exceptional communication, networking and interpersonal skills—confident, self-driven, and ready to build long-term relationships.

A strategic mindset, entrepreneurial flair, and results-oriented focus.

Excellent planning, organisation, CRM proficiency, and business documentation skills.
