Position: Business Development Manager\n\nRegion: Scotland (covering Scotland down to Carlisle)\n\nSector: Solar Systems\n\nSalary: Circa £55,000 + car + bonus + benefits\n\nAre you passionate about driving growth in the renewable energy sector? Do you have the commercial acumen to develop relationships across the construction industry - from local authority frameworks through to national housebuilders?\n\nWe're working with a leading national distributor supplying a vast range of products into the construction and building materials sector. As part of their continued investment in renewable technologies, they are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to spearhead sales growth within their solar division.\n\nThe Role\n\nDevelop and grow the company's solar solutions offering across Scotland and the North West (down to Carlisle).\nBuild relationships with a broad customer base, from small independent installers and trade customers to large-scale developers, local housing authorities, and regional housebuilders.\nIdentify and convert new business opportunities, creating tailored solutions to meet customer needs.\nWork collaboratively with internal product and technical teams to ensure outstanding customer service and support.\nKeep ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity to drive continual growth.The Person\n\nProven track record in business development or technical sales, ideally within solar PV, renewables, or the wider construction products sector.\nExcellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.\nSelf-motivated, autonomous, and commercially driven - confident managing a large territory.\nComfortable engaging with both small trade customers and major construction partners.\nStrong interest in sustainability and renewable energy solutions.The Package\n\nBasic salary circa £55,000\nCompany car\nPerformance-related bonus\nExcellent benefits and career development within a large, respected industry leaderIf you're a results-driven sales professional ready to drive growth in one of the most exciting areas of construction, we'd love to hear from you.\n\nApply today or contact us for a confidential discussion.\n\nINDS
