James Ray Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Liverpool for a fixed-term position from January to July. The Art Department is a creative, energetic and highly supportive environment where students are encouraged to explore a wide range of artistic techniques and media. The department showcases student work through regular exhibitions, displays and whole-school arts events, with Art taught across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE Art & Design and A Level Art.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching across all three key stages and will contribute to the development of the curriculum. You will also have the opportunity to lead or support extra-curricular art clubs, workshops, or specialist projects—bringing your own artistic skills, experience and passions into both classroom and enrichment activities.

The school is seeking someone who holds QTS and can demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.

Who is the ideal candidate?

Experience teaching Art at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5

Holds a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or is working towards QTS

*

Has a genuine desire to contribute to the Creative Arts Department

*

Demonstrates strong lesson planning, evaluation and curriculum development skills

*

Brings creativity, enthusiasm and a commitment to high-quality teaching
