Artist Facilitators (Dance/Music/Drama/Visual Art)

New Today

Standing Tall Scotland

Deadline: 04 May 2026 at 17:00

We are looking for 4 Artist Facilitators to deliver workshops with young people who have arrived in Scotland separated from a parent or guardian and are seeking asylum.

About Us

Standing Tall Scotland is a small organisation that delivers arts and cultural activities specifically for young people who have arrived in Scotland separated from a parent or guardian and are seeking asylum.

We work in collaboration with Guardianship Scotland, a specialist statutory service who supports unaccompanied young people through the asylum process.

What We Do

Our programme of work currently includes:

  • Twice monthly creative Group Nights in Glasgow led by professional artists, where young people explore a range of art forms;
  • Special projects where young people collaborate with a professional artist to explore a particular art form in more detail;
  • Trips to performances, exhibitions, and events;
  • Celebrations marking significant cultural events throughout the year;
  • An annual residential.

We have a team of freelance Artist Facilitators from different creative disciplines who work in rotation to lead our twice monthly Group Nights. Two artists co‑deliver each workshop, planning, facilitating and evaluating the sessions together.

Group Night takes place 6-8pm on the second and last Wednesday of every month, so availability on a Wednesday evening is essential.

Pay & Availability

This role is offered on a freelance, self‑employed basis. Artist Facilitators are paid a fee of £157.15 per workshop, which covers planning and delivery.

Disciplines Sought

We are particularly interested in hearing from artists who specialise in music, dance/movement, and/or drama, but artists from all disciplines are welcome to apply.

Requirements & Responsibilities

All Artist Facilitators will need to demonstrate their ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

We have a responsibility to keep the young people we work with safe and do everything in our power to ensure they are protected in all of our activities.
