Are you looking to begin a career in the Environmental Science industry? Are you a graduate with a science-based degree?
Summary of duties for Asbestos Sample technician to include but not limited to:
* laboratory focused duties, including sample management & preparation and analysis of samples in adherence to strict analytical and quality standards.
* Perform analysis using microscopes or SEM
* Data entry of all results collected from analysis carried out.
* Formulating and writing asbestos analysis reports
* Responsible for the efficiency and output of the laboratory
* Laboratory housekeeping – cleaning and maintaining stock levels
Requirements to be Asbestos Sample technician
* Experience / knowledge of working with microscopes or Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), is essential.
* Previous experience of working in an accredited laboratory
* Qualification: Scientific/Maths A-levels or HND or Degree in a science discipline
* Ability to manage own load, work under pressure and to multiple deadlines
* You will need to be pro-active, have excellent eyesight and be of calm and patient nature with ability to analytical problem solve.
* You will need to be IT literate and have experience of using MS Word and Excel.
