You'll work as part of a diverse team to complete the required quantity of shipsets per week to meet our customer's expectations.Key responsibilities:Assemble and test nose and forestay, main gears and sidestays for aerospace landing gearEnsuring quality of assembly for all gears within your areaContinuous improvement on improving the quality and efficiency of both the assembly and test of the unitDeliver a product in line with quality, cost, and deliveryWhat you'll need:Advanced level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship within an Engineering, Manufacturing or Technical disciplineKnowledge of working with and assembling complex buildsExperience in reading component maintenance manuals, drawings, engineering layouts and additions to the original design such as Service Bulletins & Letters, and AirworthinesAbility to build and test complex sub-assembliesAbility to use a wide range of precision measuring & test equipmentResponsibility and confidence to sign and stamp off own work (after training)At Safran, we understand that diversity and inclusion make teams stronger and more effective, and as an organisation, we are committed to fair and equitable employment practices for everyone.We also know that some candidates may be put off applying for jobs where they don't meet 100% of the criteria outlined in the advert, however, we encourage anybody to apply if you can demonstrate a variety of skills and experience relevant to the requirements of this role.
