Job Title: Assembly Technician (Backup Team Lead)

Pay: $18–$20/hour (Higher for the right candidate) Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Assembly Technician to join our team in the Assembly Department. This position involves individually assembling equipment and products (not assembly line work) using hand and power tools. The ideal candidate will also serve as a Backup Team Lead, supporting department operations and assisting with basic computer-based tasks as needed.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to step into a leadership capacity when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble equipment and products individually with accuracy and efficiency. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Read and accurately use a tape measure. Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. Provide support to the Team Lead and step in as Backup Team Lead when necessary. Utilize computers for basic tasks such as data entry, tracking production, or reviewing work orders. Assist in other departments (shipping or food processing) as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience assembling equipment or products individually (not assembly line). Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools. Comfortable using computers (email, data entry, basic production systems). Leadership potential or prior lead experience . Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Reliable transportation required.
