Assembly Technician required to work for manufacturing company based in Woking, immediate start available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Integration: Assemble, fit, and install components, including motors, servomechanisms, cabling, and PCBs using hand/power tools.
Technical Reading: Interpret complex engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and wiring schematics.
Troubleshooting & Rework: Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, diagnostics, and fault-finding on sub-assemblies to resolve issues.
RMA: To liaise with Quality Assurance to fault find and repair issues on customer returned product.
Testing & Calibration: Conduct functional, electrical continuity, and safety tests using, tools like multimeters, calipers, and micrometres.
Quality & Compliance: Adhere strictly to, safe work practices and company quality standards, providing feedback for issues, process improvements (Lean, 5S).
Review and amend work instructions where necessary to ensure accurate instructions reflecting the most efficient way to manufacture products are maintained and support Manufacturing Engineering to optimise the work instructions.
Maintain and build test records in a clear and accurate manner.
Ensure work is carried out to the required Health & Safety, COSHH & ESD standards and conforms to implemented ISO 9001 & 14001 management systems.
Ensure high standards of workmanship to produce high quality product.
Identify & resolve problems rapidly and pro-actively.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair products returned from customers and complete FMEA where required.
Support the training and development of other team members and partners when required.

Required Experience
: Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Experience: Proven experience in complex, electro-mechanical assembly.
Computer Literacy: Possessing the skills to confidently use office software, Word and Excel, to use computers to run installed test programs and scripts.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in soldering, cable harnessing, and mechanical fitting. Able to produce and comprehend relevant documentation & training.
Able to understand technical mechanical drawings & measurement instructions .
Tools: Skilled with, precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometres) and hand tools.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting capabilities, and ability to work well within a team with minimal supervision.
Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, inspection, RMA reports and timesheets.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.30pm
Salary: £(phone number removed) per annum
