An exciting opportunity has arisen at G3 Systems for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at our Osprey Quay, Portland offices. This vacancy has become available following recent internal promotions and organic growth, reflecting both progression opportunities within the business and our continued commitment to strengthening our finance capability to support operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Controller, the Assistant Accountant will support the effective delivery of financial controls, reporting, and transactional finance activities across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
Supporting the preparation of management accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations
Processing and reviewing purchase and sales ledger transactions
Assisting with cashflow monitoring and forecasting
Supporting internal and external audit requirements
Ensuring compliance with company financial procedures and controls
About You
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is keen to develop their finance career within a growing engineering environment.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
AAT qualification (or studying towards) or equivalent
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
A positive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn
