Assistant Accountant

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team. This role will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial records and assisting with month-end processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team, helping maintain efficient accounting processes while gaining exposure to a broad range of financial tasks. Responsibilities: Assist with month-end and year-end procedures Prepare and post journal entries and accruals Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Support the preparation of management accounts Maintain accurate purchase and sales ledger records Assist with VAT returns and compliance requirements Process invoices and payments where required Support budgeting and forecasting activities Requirements: Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, or similar finance role Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability ...
