Assistant Accountant - Reading (Hybrid)

We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join a sociable, supportive team within a fast-growing tech company providing IT Support, Telecoms, and Cloud solutions to SMEs across the Thames Valley. You'll take ownership of day-to-day financial tasks while our external accountant continues to manage Tax, VAT, and PAYE.

Key Responsibilities

Daily accounting tasks: invoicing, expenses, reconciliations

Maintain financial records & support month-end

Prepare internal reports and financial analysis

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow

Improve processes and support system development (Xero preferred)

Skills & Experience

Around 2 years' accounting/finance experience

Good understanding of accounting principles

Strong Excel skills

Xero experience ideal

Analytical, organised, and proactive
