We are currently recruiting anAssistant Accountant to support month-end reporting and financial analysis within our growing private ophthalmology clinic. This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant, experienced part-qualified candidate or qualified Accounts Technician seeking exposure to a full finance function in a dynamic healthcare business. Key responsibilities include: Month-end & reporting Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts Post journals, accruals, and prepayments Support balance sheet reconciliations Produce variance analysis and supporting schedules Transactional oversight Review AR and AP postings for accuracy Assist with aged debt analysis and cash allocation Support improvements to billing and payment processes Compliance Maintain supporting documentation for controls and reconciliations Development & progression Opportunity to gain exposure to commercial and operational finance Person specification Essential One of the following: Newly qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA Actively studying (PQ) with strong experience Qualified Accounting Technician (e.g. AAT) Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Desirable Experience in healthcare, services or multi-site environments Prior exposure to month-end close Benefits: Private Health Care, Company loyalty scheme,
