Operated exclusively by Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, The Market brings together artisanal coffee from The Gentlemen Baristas, diverse culinary options including the Market Kitchen brasserie and rotating food stalls, and vibrant bars like On Tap wine bar. Role Purpose Bar & Restaurant Assistant Manager
Salary: £15.50 per hour
Contract: Casual Flexible Contract (Minimum 30hours a week)
About the Role:
We're looking for an dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team and help deliver exceptional service in our busy bar and restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the management team in day-to-day operations across both bar and restaurant
Lead and motivate a team of 8 staff members
Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently met
Manage busy service periods with professionalism and efficiency
Oversee stock management and ordering
Maintain health & safety and licensing compliance
Requirements:
Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Flexible and reliable
Working Pattern:
Open 6 days per week
Evening shifts required
Saturday brunch service included
Desirable:
Cellar management experience
Cellar maintenance knowledge
Experience with stock control systems
