Assistant Branch Manager - Trade Sales (Plumbing & Heating)

£27,500 - £32,500 + Bonus + Profit Share + Progression

Are you a sales-driven professional with experience in plumbing, heating, or trade environments, looking to step into a leadership role within a well-established and growing business offering strong progression and profit-based rewards?
On offer is the opportunity to join one of the North of England's leading independent plumbing and heating merchants, known for outstanding customer service and long-standing relationships across the trade. This role offers a clear path into Branch Manager level, with structured support and training to develop your leadership skills.
In this role, you will support the Branch Manager in driving sales, managing daily operations, and leading a team to deliver exceptional service. You will play a key role in developing customer relationships, improving branch performance, and contributing directly to the branch's profitability.
This role would suit a Senior Sales Assistant, Trade Counter Supervisor, or Assistant Manager with plumbing/heating experience, or someone with strong sales and people management skills looking to step up into a leadership role.
The Role
  • Support the Branch Manager with daily operations and team leadership
  • Drive sales growth through customer relationships and branch performance
  • Manage stock, suppliers, and ensure smooth branch operations
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and health & safety
  • Bradford (local role, within ~35-minute travel radius)
The Person
  • Experience in sales, trade counter, or wholesale environments
  • Plumbing & heating experience preferred (not essential)
  • Some leadership or people management experience
  • Target-driven, organised, and proactive
  • Full UK Driving Licence (required)
