Key Responsibilities as the Assistant Building Surveyor:Supporting the delivery of a broad range of building surveying instructions across multiple sectorsUndertaking condition surveys, defect diagnosis, measured surveys and technical due diligencePreparing professional reports, specifications, schedules of work and technical drawingsAssisting with project management and contract administration dutiesSupporting both pre- and post-contract activities under JCT and NEC contractsContributing to refurbishment, maintenance and capital works projectsWorking closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomesAssisting with sustainability, compliance and building safety initiatives, including CDM regulationsSupporting client engagement and helping maintain strong working relationshipsParticipating in CPD, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activitiesRequirements the Assistant Building Surveyor should have:Degree qualified in Building Surveying (RICS-accredited or equivalent)Currently working towards MRICS (or committed to achieving chartership)Some practical experience gained through placements, internships or a graduate roleUnderstanding of core building surveying services, including refurbishment and project deliveryAwareness of key legislation and industry standards (e.g. CDM, Building Safety)Familiarity with JCT and/or NEC contractsStrong communication and organisational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or similar tools is advantageousA proactive, team-oriented approach with a keen eye for detailWillingness to travel to project sites as requiredWhy Apply?Structured APC support with dedicated mentorsExposure to high-profile, diverse projectsClear career progression within a respected consultancyCollaborative and supportive team environment... and more!If you're looking to take the next step in your building surveying career, apply today!
