Assistant Commercial Manager | Contract | £450 – £470 per day (umbrella) | Inside IR35 | London or Leeds

Ceto Talent is recruiting for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join a busy central government department on an initial 6-month contract. The role is hybrid, with London or Leeds for office attendance of 2 to 3 days per week.

Essential Requirements

* Proven end-to-end tender and procurement experience, with demonstrable evidence and strong examples to draw upon at interview.

* Significant experience in commercial strategy writing.

* Extensive stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage and influence across all levels.

* Demonstrated experience across the full commercial lifecycle, including strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier management.

* Experience advising on sourcing compliance and procurement frameworks.

* Proven ability to work independently, managing and prioritising your own workload to meet deadlines.

* Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

As Assistant Commercial Manager, you will contribute to delivering commercial excellence for the department, providing a customer-focused service and becoming a trusted commercial adviser to key stakeholders. You will work independently across end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, engaging with stakeholders to develop a clear and agreed view of business requirements, and advising on sourcing compliance and procurement frameworks. You will support strategy and policy development, analyse data and market insight to inform sourcing options, and contribute to effective contract and supplier management across the category.

Contract Details

Rate: £450 – £470 per day (umbrella)

IR35: Inside IR35

Duration: 6 months initially

Location: Hybrid – London or Leeds (2–3 days on-site)
