Position Assistant Design Manager – Main Contractor\n\nLocation London, NW1\n\nPay Rate £300 /day to £350 /day\n\nContract 12-24 months (extendable)\n\nAre you an Assistant Design Manager or a Design Coordinator with experience supporting projects for a large contractor? Are you looking to work for an established, highly respected Tier 1 Main Contractor with great career opportunities?\n\nThe Role\n\nAfter a series of project wins an exciting opportunity has arisen at one of UK’s largest tier 1 main contractors. They are looking to recruit an Assistant Design Manager to play a key role in their fit out and refurbishment division.\n\nThe initial projects you would be working on are magistrate court, prison and detention centre refurbishments.\n\nThe Company\n\nThis organisation is one of the largest construction and infrastructure groups globally.

They have over 6,000 employees in the UK, with a turnover in the £billions.\n\nThey are known for the quality of the design in their projects and are looking for a likeminded individual to join this successful team.\n\nThe Candidate\n\nThe successful individual will have worked as a Design Manager who has taken the lead on fit-out or refurbishment projects previously at RIBA stage 3+.\n\nPrevious work on Courts / Prisons / Detention Centres / MoJ projects or similar experience would be but not essential.\n\nKey Experience\n\n * Worked as an Assistant Design Manager or Coordinator for a large contractor.\n\n * Worked on projects RIBA 3+\n\n * Excellent IT Skills, Numeracy and Communications skills are required.\n\nKey Accountabilities:\n\n * Assist the Design Manager with the production of the project specific designer agreements.\n\n * Help Produce a realistic design programme.\n\n * Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement and innovation.\n\nThe Plus Points\n\nThis opportunity would suit someone looking to further their career with this leading, highly respected main contractor and work in a stable, collaborative environment.
