Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Featherstone based food production client to recruit an Assistant Engineering Manager on a full time, permanent basis.
The Assistant Engineering Manager will ensure that the team drives improvements to production efficiencies and experience in an Engineering Team Leader/Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager position is essential.
Role Responsibilities:
* Supporting and managing the Engineering team’s day to day operations of the department and ensuring any issues are reported to the Engineering Manager
* Assisting in developing and implementing engineering strategies and procedures
* Co-ordinating with different teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects
* Monitoring and maintaining all engineering equipment to ensure optimal functionality
* Driving the development and utilisation of the CMMS system
* Controlling the PPM’s system to ensure a robust process has been carried out
* Looking after contractors to ensure all paperwork is up to date (Rams, insurances etc.)
* Carrying out regular checks to ensure all contractors are inducted before entering the site
* Driving and managing the apprenticeship programme within the business
* Stepping up and directing the department in the engineering managers absence
