We are now looking for a proactive and analytical finance professional to join our fast-growing team in Grimsby. This is a pivotal role within our Finance department to assist in contributing to data-driven decision making across our Warehouse operation.

Role Overview

As an Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will support the Finance Business Partner and wider finance team in delivering insightful financial analysis, reporting, month end completion and business support. You’ll work closely with finance teams in the delivery of robust numbers and operational teams to understand performance, gathering explanation and understanding of the numbers, assist with forecasting future outcomes, and ensure financial rigour across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Preparation

* Posting warehouse month end accrual and prepayment

* Support completion of warehouse balance sheet reconciliations

* Support Finance Business Partner in gathering insight and understanding for the warehouse teams on the drivers of the month end numbers.

* Prepare ad-hoc data analysis as required to provide a detailed understanding of the different warehouse locations financial performance.

* Support Finance Business Partner in completion of month end reporting requirements

* Provision of data for the annual audit process

Forecasts & Budget

* Support completion of the Warehouse P&L’s forecast by month, on a quarterly basis

* Support completion of the financial full year budget, by month for all warehouses

* Loading of financial forecast and budget into Sage X3 as required

* Support provision of the narrative and explanation behind the forecast and budget numbers

Performance Analysis & Support

* Complete weekly revenue report

* Support Finance Business Partner in providing analysis as required on warehouse performance.

* Work with warehouse teams and provide them with support to understand their financial figures.

* Provision of data and upload of Group finance information requests relating to the warehouses

* Data gathering to enable the tracking of key warehouse initiatives.

* Support the wider finance team as required on any area of finance to enable the finance function to meet business needs.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

* Fully qualified or part qualified with a recognised body.

* Strong excel skills and ability to build financial files.

* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

* Attention to detail.

* Commercial acumen/ awareness

* Ability to work to tight deadlines.

* A team player with a can-do attitude, who will support other finance colleagues
