Assistant Finance Manager – Newquay, Cornwall – 3–4 Months (Temporary)

Carrington Wood is supporting a valued client during a key period of growth and operational demand. They are seeking an Interim Assistant Finance Manager to provide essential support, improve processes, and play a key role across projects and day-to-day finance.

What You’ll Be Doing

✔ Supporting cashflow forecasting, investment reviews and financial reporting ✔ Leading process reviews (including IR35, procurement and banking/BACS) ✔ Assisting with system migration work ✔ Completing month-end, VAT returns and reconciliations ✔ Overseeing timesheets, payroll processes and daily task management ✔ Supporting budgets, audits, grants and statutory returns ✔ Providing financial guidance and deputising when needed

What We’re Looking For

AAT Level 3 or higher (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in a busy finance function Strong understanding of financial processes, procurement, payroll and controls Excellent IT ability, particularly Excel and financial systems Clear communicator with strong organisational skills
