Assistant Drainage Engineer
My Client, a market-leading, multidisciplinary Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is seeking a motivated and innovative Assistant Drainage Engineer to join their dynamic Civil Engineering Team based in Chester. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to contribute to varied projects while advancing their career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As part of a friendly and professional team, you will work on a variety of Flood Risk, Infrastructure, and Drainage projects for Residential and Commercial Developments. Our clients include Housing Developers, Local Authorities, and Private Sector Clients, offering you exposure to diverse and challenging projects.
As an Assistant Drainage Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
* Conducting Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3. * Preparing Flood Consequence Assessments. * Developing Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications. * Designing drainage systems using MicroDrainage and Causeway Flow software. * Designing Access Roads and infrastructure for residential developments. * Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow. Full training will be provided.
Qualifications To excel in this role, you will need:
* A strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering. * Proven experience working for a Consultancy or Local Authority, with a focus on Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies or Modelling. * A keen interest in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure design and Hydraulic Modelling. * The ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills. * Residency in or near Chester, or a willingness to relocate.
