We are recruiting an experienced Assistant General Manager for one of the UKs leading high-profile beachfront restaurants on the Hampshire coast. This is a standout opportunity to join a premium, high-volume destination venue renowned for exceptional food, service, and its iconic seaside location.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will support the day-to-day running of the restaurant, taking a hands-on leadership role across front-of-house operations and service delivery.
You will be confident managing busy services, leading large teams, and maintaining high standards in a fun, fast-paced, seasonal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the General Manager in all operational and commercial aspects
Lead and manage front-of-house teams during service
Ensure consistently high standards of service and guest experience
Assist with recruitment, training, and development of the team
Manage rotas, staffing levels, and labour costs
Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally
Support stock control, cash handling, and reporting
Ensure compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar
Proven background in high-volume, premium or destination hospitality
Strong leadership and people-management skills
Commercially aware with a hands-on, proactive approach
Organised, resilient, and calm under pressure
Passionate about hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
