lai rai is a vibrant and modern new restaurant located in the heart of Peckhams Rye Lane. Were known for our bold and creative take on Vietnamese cuisine, designed and curated atmosphere, and a team-driven culture that reflects the energy of the neighbourhood we serve. As we continue to grow, were looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to lead our front team and help take lai rai to the next level. As an AGM , youll be responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant service and performance, from day-to-day operations, salesto team development and guest satisfaction. Youll be a hands-on leader who drives service standards, manages financial performance, and cultivates a positive and motivated workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities Lead and support the front-of-house team while maintaining strong communication with the kitchen Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience Monitor labour, stock, and key performance indicators Recruit, train, and develop team members including supervisors Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, and food hygiene regulations Work with ownership and management on reservations , events, planning, and business development Assist the executive team with marketing and social media initiatives , coordinating with freelancers where needed Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues when required Manage rotas, scheduling, and holiday tracking

What Were Looking For Experience in a senior hospitality management role (FOH Manager, AGM or similar) A hands-on leader who enjoys working on the floor with the team Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy service Experience managing costs, labour, and operational performance Comfortable with rota systems, reservation, POS, and modern hospitality tools A genuine passion for food, hospitality, and team development Knowledge of the local area and customer base is a plus.
