OverviewOnline Home Shop (OHS) are going through rapid expansion which has seen them enter the ‘Sunday Times 100’ fastest growing companies in 2022.This newly created role will be an integral position within the finance team and will support the Financial Controller and Finance Manager with the production of monthly management accounts, weekly forecasts and KPI reports to help inform management and enhance overall business performance.ResponsibilitiesHelp produce management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow along with variance analysis and commentary against Budget/Reforecasts.Balance sheet reconciliationsPosting of journals (e.g. accruals prepayments)Review posting of purchase invoices to ensure correct nominal codingAssist with the preparation of quarterly VAT returnsSupport the completion of finance related projects and process improvementsProduce reports and data analysis as required by the businessContribute to annual budgeting and planning processEnsure compliance with all financial regulationsWork closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Manager on the year end statutory accounts, audit and tax queriesReview accounting processes and practices to improve the efficiency of the finance functionAnalyse financial information to assist business profitability and growthAssisting the Financial Controller and Finance Manager on ad-hoc analysisWhat You’ll BringStudying/would like to commence studies for a recognised accountancy qualification; AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalentExcellent Excel skills to include pivot tables, look-ups and various formulaeExperience with Sage 200 or similar is desirableExcellent organisational skills and ability to manage time and tasks efficientlyResilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all timesAble to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach in a fast paced environmentThe ability to create effective working relationships quicklyExperience with stock and multi-currency / forex transactions preferableSound Like You?At OHS, you won’t just be crunching numbers — you’ll be helping to shape the financial backbone of one of the UK’s fastest-growing retailers.
